Matthys started his career in the Financial Services industry in early 2013 after having finished a 3-year volunteer program at his local church. He quickly developed a passion for Financial Planning and the need therefor in South Africa. Matthys’ favourite quote is: “people are destroyed by a lack of knowledge” and he believes this to be especially true with regards to financial planning and management of finances.
Matthys has a passion for people and is still heavily involved in his church and outreach programs with the objective of ultimately growing and improving the quality of life for all South Africans.
Matthys brings a wealth of experience and joined Hewett Wealth in 2018. He currently fills the role of para-planner and internal financial advisor while studying toward his CFP qualification on a part-time basis.
